CLAIMED.
On 23 March 2023, eligible users could begin claiming ARB, the governance token associated with the Arbitrum DAO. Eligibility reflected activity recorded before a 6 February snapshot. This was a token-distribution and governance milestone, not the launch of the network: Arbitrum had already been operating on mainnet for nearly eighteen months.
Allocations varied with qualifying activity, including different weighting before and after the Nitro upgrade and checks intended to limit Sybil farming. Individual allocations ranged from 625 to 10,250 ARB. The 1,250 ARB on this screen is one possible allocation, not a universal reward. Receiving tokens opened a route to participation in governance.
The imagined coinburst turns an on-screen claim into a moment of celebration. Its calendar and snapshot date anchor that fantasy to the historical event, while the Arbitrum One label identifies the network. The ETH fee line makes another distinction: ARB was the governance token, while transactions on Arbitrum One used ETH for gas. The displayed fee is illustrative, not a verified historical charge.
